Retirement & Recognition Ceremony
The Lafayette Police Foundation is currently seeking donations to help support the Annual Retirement & Recognition Banquet. This year, the event will take place during National Police Week, on Friday, May 17th. This banquet provides community members a chance to support and recognize the sacrifices made during the careers of our retiring police officers. It also gives our community a chance to publicly recognize some of the amazing accomplishments made by Lafayette Police Officers throughout the year. During this event we will recognize the Officer of the Year and the Civilian Employee of the year, as well as providing special recognition for several officers when we present multiple Life Saving Awards.
Each year the Lafayette Police Foundation sponsors this annual event as a way to pay tribute to the careers of our retiring officers and to provide a supporting environment for their families. It is a moving event that gives us a chance to recognize the sacrifice and commitment they have made over their careers and a special way to say “Thank You” to their families.
